2016

The Beginning

Lorenzo Lewis delivers his first talk at a historically African American church in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Confess Project of America is born from the recognition that marginalized communities need accessible mental health support.

2017-2018

Finding Our Voice

Lorenzo travels nationwide, speaking at universities, K-12 schools, and conferences. Drawing from his book "Jumping Over Life's Hurdles," he shares his journey from the school-to-prison pipeline to behavioral health professional.

2019

National Recognition

The American Psychiatric Association Foundation honors TCP with their "Pioneer for Advancing Minority Mental Health" award. Jordan Lewis assumes CEO leadership. The innovative Beyond the Shop program launches.

2020

Harvard Research Partnership

Groundbreaking collaboration with Harvard University validates TCP's methodology through peer-reviewed research on barbers as mental health gatekeepers. Partnership with Gillette brings "State of Mind" tour to 16 cities during the pandemic.

2021

Innovation Recognition
